DESCRIPTION:Sê bem-vindo a uma manhã dedicada à exploração do tingimento natural uma jornada que une criatividade\, sustentabilidade e conhecimento técnico. \nTingimento Natural \nNeste workshop aprenderás a tingir tecido com pigmentos provenientes de desperdício alimentar\, plantas e raízes\, especiarias e outras substâncias naturais. A preparação das fibras é um processo crucial para o sucesso do tingimento com recurso a matéria orgânica\, e a mordentagem dos tecidos será igualmente contemplada neste workshop. Começaremos por identificar as diferentes fibras têxteis que podem ser tingidas\, distinguiremos os processos de mordentagem para cada tipo de fibra\, e exploraremos o universo de pigmentos que temos muitas vezes à mão de semear nas nossas casas. Licenciada em Sociologia\, Mestre em Estudos de Desenvolvimento com especialização em Desenvolvimento Sustentável\, e Costureira/Modista certificada pelo instituto Modatex Lisboa\, tenho o objectivo de aliar o meu amor pela natureza e por formas tradicionais de artesanato à criação de moda sustentável\, à reciclagem e aproveitamento de tecidos e de peças de roupa\, e à partilha de conhecimento na área da costura que possa inspirar o surgimentos de práticas mais ecológicas que revertam a lógica de consumismo desenfreado que alimenta formatos laborais indignos e que tanto tem poluído o nosso planeta na última década. \nEN \nWelcome to an afternoon dedicated to exploring natural dyeing — a journey that brings together creativity\, sustainability\, and technical knowledge. \nNatural Dyeing\nIn this workshop\, you will learn how to dye fabric using pigments derived from food waste\, plants and roots\, spices\, and other natural substances. \nPreparing the fibres is a crucial step for successful dyeing with organic materials\, and fabric mordanting will also be covered during the session. We’ll begin by identifying the different types of textile fibres that can be dyed\, explore the appropriate mordanting processes for each\, and dive into the world of pigments—many of which are surprisingly easy to find at home. \nBy the end of this workshop\, participants will have the knowledge and tools to start experimenting with natural dyeing on their own. \nArtisanal dyeing is a sustainable craft that allows us to achieve a wide range of vibrant tones and colours—without any of the pollution commonly associated with synthetic dyes. \nActivity Objectives\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nIdentification and differentiation of cellulose and protein fibres \n\n\nWeighing and creation of sample kits \n\n\nPre-mordanting and mordanting processes \n\n\nNatural pigments and their specific characteristics \n\n\nCooking guidelines \n\n\nDrying and labelling of the samples \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n  \nGroup Size: Maximum 12 participants\, Minimum 6 participants.\nNote: For ages 14 and up.
